Romanticism in Monsoon

You may get bored in rain, incessant rain. It can bring misery to your daily life. For poets, it comes differently in their thoughts. Monsoon indulges them to find words praising their love. Are they worshipers of the beauty of nature or their lovers? Songs of Barsha (Monsoon), mesmerize Bangladeshi listeners greatly. The lyrics made of joy and sorrow touch the hearts and minds of their listeners. Great poets Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam created a different structure of Barsha music with lyrics, tunes and compositions in their respective styles. The poets extracted the themes during their extensive visits to rural Bangladesh. This is not the end. More songs are there in rural Bangladesh made by known and unknown persons. Perhaps, this is the only land in the world wherein anyone can weave poems and sing songs naturally.
